El Charro Rv park ? Hays, KS $18 a night, free internet with Good Sams Club\r

We called this one from Salt Lake, asked all the right questions. In Hays, there are 2 rv parks?.this one had all the amenities and sounded great. We passed by the other rv park and it was a field of long grass with electric/water boxes. So onto El Charro. \r

There is a convenience store?.a rundown motel that looked like a criminal hangout. SERIOUSLY! The 8 parking spots are behind the convenience store and next to the motel. We would have left but hubby was so tired that we couldn?t make it to the next town without taking a chance of an accident.\r

When we called we asked if the pool was open?.the correct question would have been is the pool USABLE. The entire bottom was covered in algae, and the top was a great mosquito breeding ground. We also asked about showers, they said yes. Apparently you have to rent a hotel room for a shower because when we arrived we were told they do not have showers. We asked about internet when we called. With our Good Sams discount we get free internet! Of course we never were able to log on?even using a wireless antenna?not even parked in front of the office, no wonder it was FREE!\r

My adult son was uneasy walking the dog around there! We had planned to stay 2 days so we could see the Boot Hill Cemetery and a few historic sites?.we are afraid to leave the RV here while we do that so we wont!!!!!\r
We won't ever stop in Hays, KS and dont recommend anyone else does either.
Pros: cheap, $18 night
Cons: everything was a thumbs down
