We have lived in Hixson for 16 years and have always taken our dogs to Northgate Animal Hospital. The staff is friendly enough but with a yearly vet visit with shots of over $175, the care is not worth it. I recently had to put my dog of 13 years to sleep due to a enormous tumor in his stomach that was never caught during exams. He had been having problems for a while, but it was blown off as worms, and we paid the ultimate price. I insisted on staying with my sweet boy as they put him down and it was a horrific experience that I do not wish to detail. The staff seemed eager to do it, yet not experienced enough to make it quick and painless. I would never recommend this vet, I have switched to Riverview which has received awesome reviews!
