I have been with many different doctors in this practice over the years, and keep coming back mainly because I can usually get an appointment without waiting for three months. It can be a bit chaotic there, but it's not as bad as a lot of the reviews on this site. I had one not-so-pleasant experience but I realize the doctor was just trying to get a job done. Several years ago my company changed insurance plans to one not accepted at Murray Hill. I started seeing a new doctor at a major (highly rated NYC) hospital and it was far, far, worse. Although he came highly recommended, the waiting room was complete chaos, ran hours behind schedule, and he spent the absolute minimum amount of time with me. Fortunately my insurance changed again and I was able to return to Murray Hill ObGyn. I was most recently with Dr. Fischer and found her to be very professional but down to earth, and felt quite comfortable with the level of care provided. Murray Hill ObGyn recently split their practices into two separate business names but they are apparently still operating in the same offices. During the first week of the formal separation of business names, Dr. Fischer personally called me about a routine prescription that I needed. I was expecting to hear back from a staff member, and was very relieved that I wasn't falling through the cracks. I just felt that I really should come to her defense. Give them a break! Dr. Fischer is now at Kips Bay ObGyn.
