Here's how last night's private event panned out.... there is a 20% gratuity added to all credit cards, which was not clear at first when cash tips were implied. A private event with professional DJs lined up to play until 4am was agreed over the phone among several constituents. Then at 11pm Solas decides to bring in their own resident DJ blasting Hip Hop music. Really bad policy is that they booked three parties on the SAME night. Feeling very unwelcomed by the staff at SOLAS, we managed to get VIP treatment at Saphire Lounge off Houston St. at Midnight.
