I've always enjoyed Imperial Room. The drinks are good. The DJ is even better. However, the new top floor is a prime spot for criminal activity. It's too dark and there is not enough security. Girls are routinely harassed and groped. The last time I was there my friend witnessed someone boldly stealing a wallet from a girls purse, and though we caught up with the thieves and requested security, nothing was done. I agree with the previous reviewer. The security team was completely oblivious and completely unwilling to help. Mpls police was hailed and a police report was filed but by that time the guilty party had fled the scene.
If you go, stay downstairs and watch your purse and wallet like a hawk. And above all, don't expect security to do a thing if you have a problem.
Pros: good drinks, great DJ
Cons: inept security, crowded, crime/theft
