My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time on a Friday night. The quality of food was no where near the quality of similar priced restaurants such as, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, Fleming's and Vic & Anthony's. First and foremost the restaurant was incredibly noisy and loud, due to the concrete floors, stucco walls and marble table tops I assume. I ordered the "catch of the day" which was halibut over pureed potatoes and asparagus. The fish had a garlic sauce that seemed to have come straight out of a can. The potatoes and asparagus had no taste at all, very watery and bland. My wife ordered the filet mignon, which likewise had a very bland taste. The steak was tender but without any seasoning for flavor and was a little overcooked. Even the baked potatoe had a watery bland taste. There are so many fabulous restaurants in Houston, that I'm afraid we will not be back to this one unless the noise decreases and food improves dramatically.
The only saving grace to this dinner was our waiter Tim. Kudos to Tim - he was excellent!
