My wife and I had an up and down dining experience at Bertani Ranch. I'll start out with the things that we liked about the experience. The best thing about the experience was the very good service, the friendly hostess and wait staff. They were all very pleasant and not overbearing. We also enjoyed the very relaxed darker mood lighting and fireplace. The restaurant was very warm and inviting for a nice dinner amongst adults. Given the menu pricing and mood lighting, it may not be the best place for families with young children (at least for dinner). The cocktails that we had were enjoyable and the wine selection was pretty decent.
There were a few things that my wife and I thought were lacking given that the menu was priced like a higher end establishment. First, as warm and inviting as the atmosphere was, it was quickly offset by the very bad and overly loud country music playing in the main dining room. The bad choice of mood music was not what I would have expected of a higher end establishment. The mood music is not something that should be noticed if management is doing their job right. Second, the quality of food was very average for the price paid. My wife had a cream of pablano soup to start which was actually pretty good. However, she had a wedge salad that included some orange / wilted lettuce and her fish main entree was okay but the spices used to flavor the fish left a lot to be desired. I had the lobster bisque to start which was okay but not jaw dropping. My caesar salad was actually pretty good and one of the highlights of my meal. For my main entree, I had a filet which I asked to be cooked "just a little past medium". When the steak arrived, it was very well done and dry and had no pink left in it. The steak was okay but not worth the $34 cost.
Bottom line is that Bertani Ranch is very average for the price paid. The restaurant is new and has some room for improvement.
Pros: Great Service, Warm Atmosphere
Cons: Menu Selection and Pricing, Food Lacks Quality for Price Paid
