This is my first written review for a restaurant. I am writing this review because the luncheon meal we had at the Atlas last week was possibly one of the worst meals we have ever had. Both the presentation of the food and the taste were completely unappealing and unappetizing. When our plates arrived at our table, the french fries were mostly black in color. We thought they were burned. These fries were not burned, they were limp, oily and tasteless. We could not figure out why the french fries were so black in color -- it wasn't from the addition of cajun spices because the fries had no flavor. If these fries were some kind of new, designer potato, it didn't work for us. I got a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. The pork was tough, stringy and dried out. The barbeque sauce was much too spicy. I could only eat half of this sandwich because the sauce was fiery hot in an unpleasant way. The cabbage in the coleslaw was chopped in huge chunks. What little dressing there was on the cabbage was thin, watery and tasteless. My husband got fish and chips -- the fish was cold in the middle. We will never eat there again.
Pros: The waitress was very nice and friendly.
Cons: None of our food was appetizing.
