I followed my stylist to Salon Rouge. Due to my ""special"" grade of hair (multiracial curls) I'm very picky and OCD about who touches my hair. Up until one year ago I had never been to a hair salon due to serious trust issues and various mishaps surrounding my head. Now, no one other than Ms. D'asha herself can cut and style my hair. She listens to what I desire the end product to be as well as complimenting and recommending where she thinks is necessary, and is usually dead-on. I *always* get a thousand and one compliments on my hair (and serious rise in self esteem) and I don't know how many times I've run out of her business cards. My best friend, who has a much thicker, kinkier, grade of hair, was the first person in the chair under D'asha's care, which to me is a sign of a tried and true stylist. I've watched her tame my lioness mane and plenty of other Hair Crisis' into gorgeous and healthy hair. If I could I'd put her on salary and have her at my beck and call, but for now I'm happy with every couple of weeks. (And as for pricing: for the services I receive and the end result I get, I'd pay TWICE as much as they charge. Also, there is a new pricing sheet, ""new talent"" stylists are a lot cheaper but the pricing available from ""master/senior"" stylists isn't that bad....and I'm in college.)\r \r As for the salon itself, it's very nice and well thought, planned, and executed out. It's lavish without being crowded or gaudy and the colors are relaxing and nonthreatening. There's free parking attached to the building and the salon is located in a convenient part of the city. Everyone so far has been super friendly and very willing to comply with every (--if ever--) need of the customer. Couldn't ask for any more, really. Pros: Awesome hair. Cons: ...none to be found. more
