Farmers Are Overcharging 7/11/2008

Farmers market is a great place to get fresh vegatables. However this year they have jacked up the price of tomatoes to $2. a pound. I noticed that a lot of people are not buying. Good. There are some booths that have them for a $1.50 pound. The tomatoes don't seem to have a nice taste this year. If you want a real bargain on fresh fruit and vegtables go to the drive in building at the rear where wholesalers sell in crate lots. Customers then take them to the tables and break them down to shares. You can get good deals this way more
