I've been taking my 3 Shar Pei to Dr. Dorn since 2005. He is VERY knowledgable about the breed, and he also knows what he doesn't know. That is, if he doesn't know what is ailing your pet, he will recommend tests and do research. He doesn't guess or pretend that he knows each and every illness that might afflict a dog. He is also willing to refer you to a specialist when necessary. Case in point - my female needed eye surgery to correct entropian. Dr. Dorn admitted that he is not an eye specialist and recommended one to perform the surgery. Knowing your limitations is a sign of a real professional.
