Good service and friendly, doesn't care for the animals like they should 7/4/2008

I have had 4 dogs go to this vet, two golden retrievers and two little dogs. The two golden retrievers were old when they passed away of course, but the first golden that we had went to this vet since she was a puppy. We went to the vet and they said that she had some issues, but she should be fine... A week later we walk into our house and she is no longer with us. I think that going to a vet and saying that everything should be fine and giving her the medicine she was supposed to take and a week later our dog passing away is a little ridiculous, but we keep going to the vet for some reason. Then we have another golden, who was younger than our first when she passed away because of kidney issues. She was at the vet when they put her to sleep. Now our little dog that is about 12 years old goes to him still because we have been going to him for so long and he is a very nice vet. Well our dog was in boarding and on a holiday they don't tell us that they are closed nor does the message machine. I go by at 10:00 in the morning then at 12:00 and no one is there and it doesn't look like they have been. I think that it is a little ridiculous that my dog was there for I don't know how long with no one there incase something goes wrong. They should have either told us that they were closed or at least had it on their message machine. We will no longer be going to this vet because I consider this HORRIBLE! If my dog is being boarded their should be someone there to take care of him. There are plenty of vets that I can go to now that will have someone there 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This vet does not have that. Pros: Nice vet Cons: Not caring enough more
