We just purchased sandbox sand and some river rock for a new sandbox from Vista. They were really helpful and friendly at the store, but came to a figure of more than twice as much sand as we needed to fill our sandbox. (an 8X8 sandbox which we wanted to fill to 9-10 inches- even if we had wanted to fill it COMPLETELY, we would only have needed a little over 2 tons). They also grossly overestimated the amount of river stone that we needed to fill a 6 X 6 area- again almost doubling the amount we needed
