I am a 38-year old African American and I have had laser hair removal twice with Assara. Both experiences were similar and I recommend the procedure for unwanted body hair. I have several friends who have done this and they've all had different results. Much of it depends on your skin type and the type of hair you're removing. Pubic hair is very different from the lighter, thinner body hair on your stomach, for example. The best advice I can give is to give laser hair removal a try... make it a part of your skincare routine for best results. I have an entire skincare regimen, including chemical peels, exfoliating, and spa treatments. I am able to fit laser hair removal into this routine. It's a natural part of my routine now. I think that has enabled me to be successful and stick with the follow-up treatments so far.
