I have a 1998 Mazda Protege that has seen better days. Every time I would take it in for an oil change they would tell me all of these things I needed to fix. I told various mechanics that I was saving up to buy a new car and just wanted mine to run but no one listened. They made it seem as though every little thing was necessary to get from here to there. So $300 here, $500 there, and over the course of a couple years I ended up spending almost $2000 on a car that's not even worth that much. Finally, I read the reviews and discovered Mitch. I told him the same thing, that I just wanted my car to last until I could get a new one. He fixed my leaking transmission (by replacing the pan, not the whole thing like the last guy said I needed) and said everything else could slide. He told me the other things were not necessary for my car to run and they would be a waste of money since I was saving up for a new one. This was last fall and my car is still running great. Mitch's prices are fair and he is good about fitting you in if you need something quick. He's the first honest mechanic I've found in the 5 years I've lived here. Honesty is priceless to a woman who knows next to nothing about cars! I will be going to him as long as I'm in the Triangle!
Pros: Location, price, HONESTY
Cons: I didn't find Mitch sooner!
