I'd just like to speak up as a patient of Dr. Hardwick-Smith's. I've been her patient for 2 years and she has been nothing but amazing. On a technical level, my husband has been a surgeon in the medical center for 8 years and knows her reputation is one of an EXCELLENT physician. He said that if I ever needed a c-section, he'd be totally comfortable with her performing it (unlike many OB/GYNs who are not so surgically gifted...). \r

She is one of those amazing doctors who has the ability to not only be a thorough and knowledgeable physician, but also someone who can connect with people. As I am going through my first pregnancy now, Dr. H-S is so patient with my questions and her staff has been fantastic about returning phone calls. I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for one of my appointments--which is remarkable, considering the often emergent-nature of the specialty.\r

I found out about Dr. H-S from 2 friends (one who is a physician herself) who were singing her praises. Since then, over 20 of our extended circle of friends now goes to her. These are smart, educated, and very particular women who have left their current OB/GYNs to switch to Dr. H-S. I think that says a lot.
