I visited Suze for the first time this weekend. By the way Lisa Garza presents herself on The Next Food Network Star, I was positive the food and atmosphere of Suze would be sophisticated and elegant. We arrived early for our reservation hoping to grab a quick drink. We did not know they do not have a bar and in fact you can bring your own wine. Our reservation was for 8:15 and we were seated promptly at that time...along with just about every other table in the restaurant. Our server politely explained the specials and we ordered our appetizer. It arrived about 40 minutes later and the waiter never came over to check on us or let us know why it was taking so long. I had the fish special. When I tried to cut into it, I needed to use a knife because it was so tough. I realized it was not done...at all. It was completely raw. I told the waiter I didn't want anything else but he insisted on bringing the dish back. They brough another entree out with a considerably smaller piece of fish on the plate. He also brought out two desserts that were ""on the house"". They were very average...who wants black pepper ice cream? I would've rather he taken the fish off of the bill. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Suze. In a city like Dallas where there are many choices, restaurants only have one chance to make a positive impression.
Pros: location, ambience
Cons: bad food and service
