My experience here at Duke's was just the worst. We went here for brunch on sunday. We ordered coffee, and the waitress, who was clearly miserable, brought our 2 coffees and about 3 tiny drops of milk. I put that in my coffee and it wasn't even noticable, plus there was nothing for my boyfriend. We flagged down the annoyed looking waitress again to ask her if she could please bring us more milk, and a spoon, when she had a chance (no silverware) She looked even more annoyed and says, ""We're out of spoons and milk. Somone went to the store to get more milk."" and walked away. We were a bit surprised, considering it was sunday brunch and they had no milk and no spoons?? Whatever, we went with it and ordered. We waited over 10 minutes with our nearly black coffees sitting in front of us, without any notice from the waitress, apologies, nothing. I could have been to the store and back by now with some milk and a spoon! Little Ms. Pleasent came by again and dropped an incredibley stale basket of mini muffins on our table, and I asked her if she happened to know how much longer the milk might be, and she rolled her eyes and simply said ""no"" I told her I'd rather have a glass of soda then please. She looked appalled, looked at my coffe and said, ""you have milk in there already. You can't just drink it like that?"" We said well it wasn't enough. And she said that it was enough! I said no, I can't, I'd just like a glass of soda instead. She said, ""well I'll bring it, but I'm charging you for the coffee too."" Um, what?? I was so confused, I said, but I didn't drink any! You have no milk and I don't like it black! She began to raise her voice and said she was still charging me for the coffee and someone would eventually be back with the milk and to just wait, and walked away. After my BF and I stared blankly at eachother in a moment of disbeliefe, we just walked out. Truly appalling experience, SO many places for brunch that don't abuse their customers out there!!
Pros: none at all!!!!
Cons: HORRIBLE STAFF, TERRIBLE SERVICE, STALE FOOD, NO MILK OR SPOONS!!
