I have a sick goat in Cupertino. I call animal hospitals for help, and several refer me to Adobe Animal Hospital in Los Altos as my best bet. I call and am told by pharmacy staff that their vets don't see livestock. I am perplexed. I call some other vets, who again refer me to Adobe. I call back and get someone else who says they currently have doctors on duty who see goats. Since they have no appointments today, I can bring my goat in for an emergency visit. Alarm bells. Not sure what to do, whom to trust.\r

I have since heard some horror stories that are not my place to repeat, about mistakes made with goats and other animals, unexpectedly high prices of treatment, and given the quality of my telephonic interchanges, I have not much inclination to actually trust them with one of my animals.
