I've been a patient of Dr Carlson for close to 10 years. He has always been extremely professional, yet caring as well. His nurse, Lou, is incredibly helpful and nice. The staff have always been pleasant. While I do not particularly like going to the doctor, as it generally means I am not feeling well, I have never had a better primary care physician than Dr Carlson. I have never had a bad experience while visiting his office and the wait times do not seem excessive to me. I generally get in within 5-10 minutes of my arrival time, which is usually 5-10 minutes ahead of my scheduled time, so in effect, my appointment are usually right on time, as scheduled. I have moved farther and farther from Dr Carlson's office since I first started seeing him, but continue to go to him for medical needs because I believe him, trust him and enjoy meeting with him, his nurse and his staff. I hope he's not beginning to narrow down his clientele, because I really don't want to have to try to find another family doctor that can compare to him. However, if he is preparing for retirement, he definitely deserves it. I just hope that he will be able to refer me to another primary care physician that is right up there with him when that day comes.
