I got struck with an umbrella - and no one cared. 5/18/2008

A friend and I went here on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon because it has a great patio and is right on the park. I was very impressed with the menu selection and the prices, but that's about as far as the good experience goes. A gust of wind blew one of the umbrellas at the table next to us up and out of it's stand, and luckily, the girl sitting there caught it. A waitress came out and said she was going to need to take down all the umbrellas, but oddly, she only took down ours and no one else's. So, a few minutes later, another gust of wind came and picked up an umbrella and it flew across the patio, hitting me and my friend in the stomach. It felt like we had been punched in the stomach. My salad ended up all over the table, my lap, my shoes, and mixed in with my friend's salad. Disappointingly, no one came to check on us to see if we were ok. A patron at the next table was kind enough to flag down a waitress and tell her she needed to check on us, which she did, with very little enthusiasm. Our waitress brought out another salad for me and all she said was ""Sorry bout that guys"" like she really could care less that we had just been attacked by a giant umbrella that SHE was supposed to take down. Other than that, I asked for ice for my water, and never got it. She said she was bringing more water, but never did. We never got checked on, regarding the food, our drinks, how we were doing, or anything else. It's such a shame because the location is awesome and the food was decent, but the service was so despicable and the waitresses were so unprofessional that I will never return, and would encourage you not to either. Pros: location Cons: service more
