After my second visit, still horribly underwhelmed by this restaurant. Now I know that silverlake/echo park isn't known for their taste in food so, granted, butl after a cold, tasteless omelet and equally cold, over cooked potatoes...i went back AGAIN just to be fair. Guess what? The food was terrible again. Okay, terrible may be a bit harsh but my wife ordered the berry pancakes and another omelet. Both freaking tasteless, the pancake in particular (although pretty) was just completely bland. The case is officially closed on Matisse for us. If the ""taste"" of your food is your prime directive, see you at The Griddle or Marston's.
