My daughter and I had the worst experience in this restaurant. We were a bit late but hungry for lunch, and were outside this restaurant a little after 3.30pm. We normally go to Berkeley in the evenings and this was a very rare trip, and the very first and definitly the last) visit to this restaurant. The buffet was not impressive though there were many dishes and the food was not remarkable at all. But since we were hungry we expected the fare to be atleast the usual Indian restaurant stuff. We were given a warm Nan at our table and it is appreciated. When we left, we were charged 23.90! Outrageous! and upon enquiry, I was told since it is past 4.00pm, it is considered a 'dinner' buffet. Not that the food was anything to write home about, or that we were served actual meal prepared for dinner, but just that the time was past their advertised lunch time. It would have helped to know this earlier! This was the lousiest and most expensive Indian meal I have had in the bay area. I would not have minded it at all if the food was atleast enjoyable!
