I was recently at Scripps with my wife in the ICU. She had many doctors watching over her while I stayed at her bedside everyday. Dr. Avalos came on and spoke to me for a very long time. I was the only one able to tell him my wife's health history. He asked me a lot of questions and changed the care of my wife. Within a matter of 12 hours, my wifes heart pressure and breathing became better. Two days later my wife was waking up and Dr. Avalos had different tests ran on her that were not done before. Dr. Avalos was able to give me her diagnosis that was different than what I had been told before. The staff was great and Dr. Avalos really turned things around! I have my father and mother-in-law now going to Dr. Avalos and they both love him! My mother-in-law is now able to go up her stairs without gasping for air. I will always be so grateful to Dr. Avalos for helping my wife and bringing her back home to our 3 children!
Pros: Dr. Avalos has a sixth sense that is phenomenal! His manner is very gentle and kind. A family man that loves his children dearly!
Cons: Sometimes a long wait for an appointment but VERY MUCH WORTH THE WAIT! I guess everyone else thinks he's remarkable, too!
