This is my very first online review of anything. I read the other posts referring to the bad customer service and I feel the SAME way - I thought they were just rude to me. One reviewer said she liked this store because ""they do not harrass you"". Be prepared for this - they do not talk to you at all. The parking isn't plentiful, which is a real minus when you are largely pregnant in the Austin summer. I entered the store hot and tired from walking all the way down the behind ally. No one greeted me, but that's not a big deal. It is a big problem though, after 30 minutes of browsing and listening to the employees chatting loudly with their friends that had come in, I did have some questions. Immediately after their friends left, they went right to the phone. Despite this, I went back with my sister later in the week and it was a complete repeat performance. The only reason I felt compelled to write this is that we then went down 35th to another baby boutique and were immediatly offered water, smiles and great help. The cute things you find at Picket Fences can also be found around town at places that seem to want you there.
