I wanted my mother's Master's Degree framed properly. I brought it to Candy at Arrowhead. She said that it was parchment which is an animal skin and that she would have a paper conservator prepare it for framing. It was nearly sixty years old. She had a special glass to be used that would protect the parchment from yellowing from UV. The turnaround was so quick, and the job was just spectacular. Each little detail was just superb. The wonderful thing about their shop on Guadalupe is that they take such joy and interest in the jobs. They do the most fascinating and challenging things. I learned later, that among her peers in the art world, that Candy Nichols is highly regarded and has a reputation for doing museum-quality world class work.
Pros: Genuinely interested in her work. Her skill level and abilities are far reaching.
Cons: There are no Negatives. It is all exceptional.
