I decided to consign a saddle through B&B and have had the worst experience of my life:
I moved to the area in the last 2 years and was starting to ride with a local hunt club(with Faith Fields) in hopes of riding with Potomac Hunt club and showing. Due to an injury I was no longer able to ride, so I decided to sell my recently purchased, slightly used Beval saddle.
I used Bits & Bridles as consignment and I encourage you and your members NOT to use their services. After a month of not being able to "find" this nice saddle, I was told today it was lost. They are not responsible, and I am out the money that was being asked for it.
The biggest upset is that they NEVER attempted to call me back until I threatened to file with the BBBureau. Each time I contacted them, they were upset I was calling, and I was just told they'd call me (which was never done, I had to continue to call them). As fellow riders we're all looking for great service and products in this industry. I would hate to see any hunt members treated the way I was in the future. There is still no apology, and they are not willing to resolve in anyway. It's terrible that there are people such as this in the horse world. I advise you to find a different tack shop.
Pros: a lot of horse supplies
Cons: uncooperative staff when there is a problem.
