I went to Salon 17 on a personal recommendation and visited Jennifer. I got the best hair cut since I moved to Portland over 3 years ago. I had been going from salon to salon and from this person to that as my hair is admittedly difficult to cut. I had fun there too. People were drinking wine and laughing and Oh That Shampoo Room is The BEST! I didn't want to get up after this thing she does with this hot towel. I have told several friends and coworkers about them and will definitely be back. I actually made my next appointment before I left which is something I haven't done since my stylist in Atlanta. The hours are great since they are open evenings which works with my schedule. One recommendation I would make is to check out the The Streets of Tanasbourne's website for specials and coupons, I missed a deal that I could have used.
Pros: shampoo room, serves wine, great parking/hours, range of experience and prices
Cons: could have choice of red of white wine
