My 12 year old dog was having some vomiting issues and when I removed his collar I found a lump on his throat. When I went to his local vet in the city. they wanted to do a biopsy send it out and wait for results. They also suggested several other tests to "rule out" this or that. A friend in Antioch suggested I take his to Fox Lake quite a trek from my home in Lakeview. However, I am glad I did. Dr. R examined my dog and said we could do a biopsy however, because the mass was affecting his health, if it were his dog he would "take it out and send it in for testing." I really appreciate that he empathized with my problem and gave a recommendation from the heart instead of the wallet.After the exam I was able to schedule surgery for the following day and asking the technician what my bill was she replied that the consult before surgery would be n/c and remarked in humor that I obviously lived in the city.I have taken my elderly dog back a few times since and although there is a wait due
