As someone who has lived both in Manhattan and the boroughs, I can honestly say this is one of the best places to eat in NYC! The atmosphere is great, always good tunes playing at a comfortable and conversation friendly volume, a changing display of artists work, and intimate tables. The host and entire staff are always friendly and recognize all of their regulars, of which there are many! I have been a regular since they opened for all the aforementioned reasons, but mostly because their eclectic menu is one of a kind and everything I have ordered is delicious! Every time I have friends visiting I take them to Mundo and they become fans instantly. Order their signature dish called the red sonja, you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Excellent food, unique menu, one-of-a-kind, friendly servers and host
Cons: small, but cozy
