I was in Somerset, NJ on business recently for a few night and my team decided to eat at Charlie's after seeing their web site. Unfortunately in opening their claimed 55 locations, I think their quality control has suffered.\r

I love fillet mignon. A local grocery store has a phenomenal butcher's shop and I know how to grill them to perfection. So, figuring that the company was paying my dinner bill, I got the fillet mignon. Wow, what a disappointment! I asked for it to be cooked medium-rare, and it was, but it was tough! Two members of my team had New York sirloin strip steaks and both had the same complaint: The steaks were mediocre at best.\r

All I can think is that their beef is not as fresh as they claim, and is tough as a result. We were all really disappointed.
Pros: Prompt service, good parking
Cons: tough steaks, not worth the price.
