The first time I went to Upper Crust was about 9 months ago. I was in the neighborhood visiting an Allergy Specialist. A former co-worker turned me on to this place, raving about how good the food was and brought in a Calzone to show how hefty the servings were. Anyway, I had to check it out. The place is cute, not too small, not too large. It definitely has that East Coast feel to it. I ordered the Grilled chicken sub to go which was so freakin' fabulous! I ate most of it in my car on the way home. \r

I went back there for lunch today(3/19/08) and ordered the Eggplant Parmesan Sub. It took all of my will power not to tear into that sandwich on my way home(it smelled that good). Phil prepared my sub and he was so sweet. He made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Today's trip was much more inviting than my first trip. The first time I visited this establishment, there were teenager's doing the preparation and serving. They weren't friendly but that's just how some teens can be. I saw that someone else gave a really bad review due to bad service, I wonder if the teens were there that day. \r

I will definitely return to Upper Crust for either the Eggplant or Grilled Chicken Subs and hope to try their pizza one day. I highly recommend their sandwiches and Phil's service(he's a wonderful person).
Pros: Whatever they marinate the grilled chicken in and the Marinara Sauce on the Eggplant Sub is to die for! Great price for great food and hefty servings.
Cons: The service is not consistent.
