I have rented a lot of apartments over the years and these were the worst landlords I have ever encountered. It took forever for any maintenance to be done. Our furnace did not work the entire time we lived there, we would keep it at 66 or 68 and the temp in the house would be 45 during the winter. The Laclede gas guy said that our furnace should be condemned and he actually turned it off until they performed the appropriate maintenace on it, which they never did they just removed his condemned sticker and turned it back on themselves. They were rude, condescending, unhelpful and all in all awful people to deal with, there was one relatively friendly person in the office but she had no decision making power so she really couldn't be that helpful. Also the only person that was authorized to make decisions was the owner and no one was allowed to meet with him. You had to rely on his unfriendly staff to tell him what your problems were. When I asked why I wasn't allowed to speak to him she compared him to the owner of a large company like Lacled Gas and said you wouldn't be able to talk to them so why should you be able to talk to the owner of Ramled. I was astounded that she made that comparison. Ramled has about 6 employees including the owner, you can see him in his office if you go to their offices but you aren't allowed to speak to him! We ended up paying to get out of our lease early just so we would not have to deal with them any more. Don't rent from Ramled!
