It was a long night and at first, things were looking like they wouldn't get any better. This is a classic story of a restaurant taking a bad day and turning it around. The waitstaff is attentive and will recommend items on the menu if you're unsure. The wine list is limited in quantity, but quality abounds, even on the by-the-glass list. Their prices seem a bit high, but I am from Atlanta. The Caesar salad was good w/o the anchovies and the tuna entree was nice and light, but no one told the chef that 'mixed veggies' in the couscous is not ratatouille. Regardless of the food, the bananas foster bread pudding is NOT to be missed; it's one of the best desserts I've had in awhile. The sommeleier sent over a nice Cadillac dessert wine just because I asked about the '97 d'Yqem (which they were out of) but it made the dessert course twice as nice. They callled me a cab and timed it to my departure...very detail-oriented. Did I mention they're truly nice people?
Pros: Good food and friendly people
Cons: high prices and general blandness
