this shelter affected my life in a profound way as my father was a consumer for many years and the sister there assisted him unconditionally and encouraged him to improve, The house was friendly and clean, but I do feel that if there was anyone to donate more comfortable furniture, books or pictures, bedding that would make it a more comfortable place for the guys as I saw them hanging out watching tv. on metal folding chairs. Sister rose, the director is something close to an angel in my opinion!
Pros: friendly staff that are non-judgemental and caring.
Cons: needs more homey atmosphere, such as a comfy couch, blankets, pictures for the walls
