I have been a customer at Fins, Fur, and Feathers since they opened and I am surprised by what I am reading here. Please allow me to share my experience with you.\r

My dog is a 70 pound pit-bull/shepherd mix and FF&F is the only place willing to groom her. She is a very good dog, but very nervous and excitable. When she goes for a grooming what usually happens is that becuase she gets so nervous she soils her crate. Most groomers have asked me not to bring her back. Not so with FF&F. I told them in advance that this might happen - they told me not to worry. Even if she did mess, it wasn't a big deal, it could be cleaned up! They allowed me to bring my dog for a grooming at the end of the day when there were no other dogs to be groomed and it was quieter downstairs. And you know what? She was fine! No mess, no problems! Hooray! I even bring her back to have her nails clipped from time to time and I can't believe how gentle Basir (I think that is how you spell his name - he is one of the owners) is with her. Usually it takes three people to cut her nails - two to hold her down and one to clip. Yet Basir does it right in front of me and he doesn't have to wrestle with her or anything.\r

FF&F sells Merrick, which is all my dog will eat, and I am thrilled that they have all of the flavors.\r

In my experience, the owners care very much about the animals. The area in the back and in the windows is always clean and the animals are vibrant and happy. Did you know that they even hand-raise birds? Several months ago they were hand feeding the most beautiful African Grey chick and all of their cockatiels are hand fed also. I've been wanting to get another bird for some time now and will certainly buy from FF&F.\r

I suggest that those who are worried about the abuse allegation call the ASPCA for more information, but please remember that in our sue-happy society everyone is still innocent until proven guilty. \r
I will continue to shop here and send my dog here for grooming.
Pros: It is clear to me that theowners are pet lovers and pet owners themselves.
Cons: Difficult to find nearby parking - but they do help me carry everything to the car!
