I'm new to the Encinitas area and am working my through the various Mexican restaurant in the area. Betty's Tacos Restaurant was a nice surprise. I thought it was going to be a typical no frills taco shop, but it turned out to be a small restaurant where you can sit down and relax for a few minutes. The service speed was fine and ""Betty's"" family actually works in the restaurant which gives it a more familiar atmosphere. The only real downer, I think, is its location. It's located in a unmemorable strip mall. They make the most of it and have some outside seating if you're an outside eating type of person.
Pros: Guacamole, family run, pleasant atmosphere, quick seating
