I took 2 of my rats here (both at the same time) that were suffering from mammatory tumors and unfortunately need to be put down. The doctor first injected them with enough sedative to knock them out (supposedly a surgical state) then proceeded to inject them with something else directly in their hearts however was unsuccessful on the first attempt and how to puncture the heart again. I have had rats prior to this that had to be put down and the process was no way near this traumatizing to myself or the rats. I should have payed the extra money and taken them to my normal vet. I feel guilty now!
