In the summer of 2005, Yoni Gottesman's parents took him to a summer camp. It was supposed to be a fun and exciting experience. It was promised to be a safe experience. Instead, on his first day at camp, little Yoni drowned.\r

He did not die because events occurred that were out of everyone's control. Yoni died because of the gross negligence and knowing misconduct of people who blatantly failed to attend to his safety and well being. Yoni was killed by the very people who were supposed to watch and protect him. Yoni's story is not just about a promising young life that ended too soon. It is about the horrifying circumstances of his death. It is about the people who have not been held accountable for their actions, actions that killed Yoni. It is about the failure of the authorities to enforce the laws of the land.\r
