I just had my annual exam with Lydia Sweeney. I wondered why she seemed in a hurry- very nice as always, but must be trying to keep on track due to unrealistic people like one review I read. The best 2 doctors I have both keep patients waiting in general- the reason is that sometimes emergencies come up, and they both take their time to really talk to their patients. Lydia Sweeney is one of the best....in fact she really SAVED me 16 years ago when I first came to her.\r

I had gone to a different OB/ Gyn named John Maxwell. He delivered my first baby, and did not remove all of the placenta. A week later, after several phone calls to his office, I still was heavily bleeding and finally realized I might die despite that office saying it was normal. I also was desperatly trying to nurse the baby- and the La Leche League said the baby was really getting enough milk....only she was not- because I still had placenta. I went back to his office- he said I could 'let nature take it's course' (surely my death) or have an (emergency) DNC....so then the milk came in, but I was left with PID. I went to 5 male OB/GYNS- but they would not listen to me and recommended exploratory surgury and that 'it was all mental'...finally Dr. Sweeney listened to me and perscrbed something- which cleared up the huge pain and agony in about a week!! God only knows what would have happened without this angel of a woman. I love her dearly and can't express highly enough how wonderful she is. Well worth any kind of wait you have to put up with.
Pros: Fabulous and caring doctor, comfortable waiting room, beautiful art in office
Cons: a long drive from my house
