After favorable service from most of the stylists on a potential wedding gown, the final staff member who rang up the register wanted ten dollars, yes ten dollars, for a dust bag. How incredibly penny wise and pound foolish was it to focus on getting an extra $10 on top of a dress that costs several thousand?! I mean, the Gap will provide a garment bag with the purchase of a $50 dress. So after I requested for her to ask the owner Mark for a waiver of the bag fee, this salesperson instead took a coffee break at the opposite end of the studio, and returned to request for the extra money. Needless to say, I purchased my gown already, but from a place where service and the proverbial buck did not stop at the register.
