Home made salmon gravlox with passion fruit aioli\r
( I tasted more mayonaiise than passion fruit)\r
Truffled Cinderella pumpkin bisque with Chipotle oil and sweet Basil\r
( This soup was so overwhelming I couldn't even finish it)\r
\r
Intermezzo: sorbet \r
( Sorbet with acai was like coffee grounds with no flavor) Everyone had this except one person in our party.\r
\r
Main Course: please choose one\r
\r
Whole 1 ? pound Maine Lobster (shelled completely)\r
\r
sauteed and served with a Meyer lemon ? Spanish caviar beurre blanc \r
(The caviar was so scant, it didn't even count) Half of the lobster was over cooked.\r
\r
or\r
\r
Roasted prime grade filet mignon, with smoked blue cheese &\r
Tomatillo ? lavender demi - glaze\r
\r
( There was no hint of smoked blue cheese or tomatillo with this dish and the dressing on the greens was a complete miss. Did the chef throw a bunch of flash cards in a hat and randomly pull out flavor pairings? Lavender demi glaze with smokey blue and tomatillo?? I didn't taste any of that..\r
\r
Dessert: white chocolate and rose petal mousse \r
\r
with pink guava and black pepper creme anglaise \r
( all the guest had this dessert except one.The waitstaff didn't even bother to ask if he wanted it or not.)\r
\r
Mignardises\r
\r
Twice, we were shorted one of the offerings. We were seated at the 6:00 round and by no means should have been given anything different from the menu. No one informed us of the changes. The two children in our party had no other choices but steak and lobster for 85 dollars a pop . I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not even a Los Angeles transplant.
Pros: Bringing your own wine is allowed with a corkage fee.
Cons: the food.
