I got married at the Grand Pacific Wedding Chapel in Olmstead Falls which was simply gorgeous. It was not the chapel that was the problem.... it was the caterer Don Muntean that caused the stress. First of all I had to fight to be able to decorate the basement of the chapel the night before my evening reception..... He gave us 15 minutes & kept warning us about the time.... then said he was locking the door in 1 minute. We could not even put the rest of the flowers in the room because he locked the door and left.... as we sat on the porch in amazement. It would have only taken us 2 minutes to put them on the tables. ONLY 15 minutes he gave us.... to set up a glamourous wedding reception. I have never heard of such a thing. Surprisingly he was not even present during my wedding reception which was to be a formal sit down dinner. The cooks put the food on the plates and in the warmer at 7:30 pm and served them at 8:30 pm... that's a WHOLE HOUR UNDER HEAT. The pork was so dry and only parially edible.... the apricot chutney had ""dry skin"" on it. The roasted rosemary potatoes were so hard that it made a loud ""clank"" when I dropped it on my plate. The servers were very appologetic. We would have been better off paying less money and having a buffet. At least the food would have stayed in a large pan and stayed moist. My wedding was an embarrassment . All the guests stated that it was the driest wedding food they have ever had. They felt so bad for me. One guest (a nun) even called him to let him know about the poor food. It took me many months to heal from this.... as everyone just remembers the poor food. My cake. thank goodness, was wonderful. I got a Raspberry Truffle cake from Colazza's off Ridge Rd. They saved my night. As for Don Muntean.... he has very poor customer service and is just plain errogant. I would use the Chapel but go somewhere else for your reception.
Pros: The Grand Pacific Wedding Chapel is lovely for a wedding. Have your reception elsewhere
Cons: Horrible that they do not know how to serve a sit down meal for a formal wedding..... that it sits on a plate for over an hour first in an oven.
