Timpano Houston has a great location and a jazzy decor, but my meal there was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. My vodka tonic arrived flat, my salad had almost no dressing on it, the the pasta was over-salted. The wait staff was alternately professional an inattentive: sometimes almost chatty, sometimes absorbed by something happening across the room (while still talking to us). I'm new to the Houston scene, but man, there must be something better downtown.
