Absurd wine fees and very unpersonable servers 1/11/2008

We were hesitant to go as we'd heard conflicting opinions. But, went for my wife's birthday and brought an expensive wine to celebrate - in fact wine was not on Reys wine list. Long story short -- we were charged a $25 corkage fee (a bit high) but our server did not tend to the bottle at all. She opened it, but did not pour it, or check on it, and we finally had to ask for an ice bucket to keep it cold (white). If you're going to charge 25 bucks, do your job. The final kicker was that our two friends with whom we shared the bottle, were charged an additional $10 to boot. I've paid a few corkage fees in my life, but never a ""sharing"" fee. Not to mention, we also ordered wine off the wine list as the one bottle we brought certainly wasn't enough for 4 people throughout a long dinner. These charges are the type of thing that will keep customers from returning. Quit nickle and diming your customers - you will pay a bigger price in the end. Additionally the servers had an ""attitude"" and ""tolerated"" us at best -- you can almost feel them rolling their eyes when they leave your table. Very unpleasant experience and we absolutely will not go back. Pros: interior Cons: unskilled & inattentive servers, high corkage and ""sharing"" fees, food is very avg more
