Being through other programs with no lasting results, I found myself at home high and alone. My thoughts were of checking out to relieve myself of my problems, loneliness and shame. Looking for help I got out the phone book and started calling. After several calls with uncaring responses, I saw an ad for Excel. I called and spoke with Tamea Sisco. She was willing to see me right away. When I arrived Tamea was friendly and caring. Just what I needed. She showed me how addiction works in the brain, told me about the treatment and what it could do for me. When I left it was the best I had felt in as long as I could remember. I hadn't even had a treatment yet. After beginning treatment Excel was the place I could go, people cared. I was comfortable. My safe place! Since this program I have the skills and tools to overcome my substance abuse. Excel gave me the confidence and ability to again be successful.
