Koa (2 month old kitten) ate too much can food with Salmon oil. An hour after eating it she started getting really sick (throwing up and foaming at the mouth), afraid of dehydration I took her to Beverly Oak Emergency even though I should know better. They wanted me to sign a piece of paper saying I?d agree to pay a bill of $732.00 to START treatment. I was furious to say the least ...I said, ?you haven?t even seeing the cat and you?re asking me all these tests not even knowing what emergency she has?? ----I crossed $530.00 of the bill and asked them to put some fluids on her and give her some medication to prevent vomiting. I wanted to get her stabilized until 7:30AM when I could rush her to my own Vet. I'm an animal behaviorist for 23 years and I've around sick pets thousands of time, I knew all she had was a bad stomachache. The attitude this Beverly Oaks gave me was absurd ...first when they saw I wasn?t going to pay the starting fee, they never put us in a examination
