I've read all the rave review regarding Sushi Go 55, and finally decided to try it. I did notice the small fishy smell in the restaurant, but it could be due to poor air circulation. The wait staff was nice and attentive, but when it gets busy it could be hard to get their attention. I ordered variety of dishes to get a broad perspective on the restaurant. The tempura was excellent, grilled eggplant was average, and pickled cold dish was average. Now down to the heart of the meal. The variety of fish is excellent, freshness is good, price is reasonable. I ordered a Toro sashimi, and assorted sushi. The sashimi was good, but the sushi was average. What I felt was missing was the skill level in making the sushi. I felt like I was eating sushi from floating boats or trains. Ingredients to sushi are not very complex, but the art is the skill level and technique of the sushi chef, and how a sushi is constructed. I had better sushi at Sushi Gen and Hamakawa (Now Closed). Therefore Sushi Go 55 did not impress me to return soon, and I rated ?Average?. Pros: Variety, Price, Tempura. Cons: Sushi, Slight Fishy Smell. more
