A close friend recommended hypnotherapy after I had experienced various other types of therapy (CBT, NET, talk, etc.). I scheduled an appointment with Virginia (she is great about working around your hours!), and I was able to "let go," achieve deep relaxation and begin work on my subconscious within two sessions. She has a very calming and nurturing spirit, yet she is very objective and clear. For me, this is an important balance -- so that I could feel comfortable enough to relax, yet feel that she is also trustworthy. Immediately after each session, I felt amazing - relaxed with a sense of tranquility. Days after each session, I remained relaxed and able to reflect on my session with her using a clear mind. My sleep also improved immensely.
I went to Virginia with the specific goal to improve my self esteem. I saw her for many sessions before I (unfortunately) relocated. Within those sessions, I was able to learn about my childhood and how it is linked to who I am today. With Virginia's guided imagery, I was able to really see myself clearly, which has lead me to have better control of my life. This became particularly important as I decided to take a new job in a new city.
In my experience, hypnotherapy has produced the quickest and most noticable results. With Virginia, I believe that a person can reach major breakthroughs in his/her life - I know that I did. I would definitely continue to see her on a regular basis if I still lived in the area.
