I see the point about "the lame scene of wannabees" - however-I consider myself a PROUD wannabe and I think most people living in the middle of LA are wanting to be something- which is NEVER a bad thing!!!! The Tomato Basil soup is seriously to DIE for!!! The texture is a perfecty pureed, smooth chunkieness and absolutely delicious. The Asian salad is a guilt free double dose of antioxidants that is HUGE and extremely filling. I Have never had to wait long for a table, and the service has always been talkative and pleasant. One of my favorite places to eat- although It is best when it isn't overcrowded, which is rare.
Pros: Huge, creative menu. Cookies that come with your coffee, fast service, comfy couches to lounge on.
Cons: overcrowded, loud, full of "eyebrow raisers"
